E ora chiamatemi dottore! And now call me doctor!

Signore e signori, il 17-11-2007 ho difeso con successo la mia dissertazione all'Universita' di Helsinki! Ora posso essere chiamato dottore! D'altra parte, non posso dire agli altri che io sono dottore, fino a quando l'universita' non mi comunichera' la decisione di accettazione ufficiale. :)
Ringrazio l'opponente, il custos, Kimmo, Jukka, gli intervenuti alla cerimonia, al karonkka e al pluri-party e coloro che hanno reso possibile raggiungere questo importante traguardo. Ora non resta che capire che fare una volta che ho preso quest'altro pezzo di carta....

Ladies and gentlemen, you can now call me a doctor! On the 17-11-2007 I have successfully defended my dissertation at the public examination held at the main building of University of Helsinki. On the other hand, due to some protocol regulations, I cannot call myself doctor until the faculty officially says so. Funny, isn't it? :)
I thank the opponent, the custos, Kimmo, Jukka, those who participated to the (lengthy) public defense, to the karonkka and all those who made it possible for me to reach this important goal. Now I just need to figure it out what to do with this yet another piece of paper...
